Emerald Gas Ltd is the largest gas maintenance company in Ireland looking after Bord Gais Networks customers. As their business grew from 5 employees to over 40 in a matter of weeks, they realised that they were going to have a huge reliance on IT for the forth coming years. Nero Networks were engaged to set up their office network including email services, faxing services and secure remote connectivity. Their network was setup using the latest Microsoft technologies, Microsoft Windows 2003 Small Business Server and Microsoft Exchange 2003.
We were also asked to develop a management system to not only manage the daily jobs they receive but also to manage invoicing, purchase orders, stock control and human resources. One of the core requirements of this system was not functionality but user friendliness and as such this system was developed to be web based as this allowed users to use an interface that they were already familiar with, Internet Explorer. This system was seamlessly integrated into their current Intranet. This system was delivered on time and within budget.
